The Farndale Ladies Are Back: And This Time It’s TRAGIC

After their now legendary treading of the Playhouse boards back in 2021, the ladies [and ancillary male helpers] from the Farndale Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society have been invited to raise the tone of theatrical presentations by bringing their astonishing production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth to Preston’s lovely Playhouse.

To call this a tragedy is no overstatement: rarely have the depths of bloodthirsty ambition been so well dramatised [both on and off stage].

Members of Preston Drama Club have once again volunteered, nay begged, to be able to help make this a thrilling occasion.

As we’re sure you know, Macbeth is a play which has all the ingredients of first class adult entertainment: murder, tartan, witchcraft, bagpipes, Highland dancing, more murder, neeps and tatties and lots of kilts.

This will be Farndale’s entry for the Townswomen’s Guild Drama Festival, which we expect to win, of course.

And as a particularly exciting little ‘bonus’ we may show a film detailing the ups and downs of the rehearsal process.

Tragedy has never been so entertainingly foolish.
